Ottawa Fury U16 Boys traveled down to participate in the highest grouping (Championship) of the FC Delco Tournament, in which they were finalists the previous year.

The Philadelphia Coppa were ranked #13 in the United States previous to the tournament (now 32nd) so the Fury knew they would have their hands full.  Coppa came out early and scored an early goal when a man was left unmarked in the box for a easy goal against.  This seemed to wake up the Fury as they picked up the pace immediately afterwards and began to pressure the high ranked American club. 

The U16 Boys travelled an exhausting 15 hours for their first tournament of the year. The first game was against unknown WVSC U16 Elite Titans in very wet and rainy conditions. The first half was physical battle as all challenges from both sides were at 100%. The Titans had some speed up front and saw a couple of breakaways in the first half which they failed to capitalize on. Fury opened the score with a hard working effort from Brandon who ran over the last two defenders and the keeper to put the Fury up 1-0 to end the half. The second half was again a physical match between both sides. Fury were taking control of the game and possession which again saw Brandon's hard work up front put the Fury up 2-0.

Ottawa Fury's U16 Boys Adam Dijkerman is travelling to Holland (April 21,2010) for a weeks trial and training session with highly respected Dutch first league team Vitesse (http://club.vitesse.nl/). Adam will be participating with the U17 Vitesse Youth Team. Included in this experience of participating in a week long school of session with Holland U17 Vitesse team is the possibility to watch exhibition games against Dutch powerhouse Ajax. The Ottawa Fury wish Adam the best of luck in experiencing this unique opportunity.

Ottawa Fury U16 goalkeeper Chad Bush has been offered an opportunity to participate in a week-long training camp in Houston, Texas with the Toronto FC Junior team. Chad was seen at the player combine in Ottawa and from that viewing a lasting impression of his abilities in goal were made and thus he'll join TFC's Junior team at this training camp. Chad will join the TFC Junior squad in Toronto this Wednesday (Feb. 24) and depart for Houston. The Ottawa Fury fully support this opportunity and the growing cooperation between Toronto FC and the Ottawa Fury. The Club wishes Chat the best of luck in this opportunity.
