Rocco is now in his fourth year with the Fury Soccer Organization. His assignment this time is Head Coach of the U13 Girls. Previously, he served as the Head Coach of the Academy 2 Girls in 2007, and as Assistant Coach to Steve Hill (Girls U14 & U15). In 2005 they took the U14 Girls to the SYL National Finals in Tampa Florida.Prior to coming to the Fury in 2005, Rocco served as an Assistant Coach with the EODSA District Squad.
Rocco has had 15 years of competitive coaching experience with both the Nepean Hotspurs and the Lynwood Centennial Soccer Clubs, with an impressive record in development of young players. He is a strong believer in stressing the fundamentals of the game in the areas of ball mastery including ball control, dribbling, passing, receiving etc, as well as team fundamentals. He believes that at the younger ages players should be encouraged to develop their individual skills and this is achieved by allowing them to play various positions.
In addition he has held various other positions in the area of sports management such as Director of Development, Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club 2000-2004, where he oversaw and participated in the development of high performance programs for athletes as well as for entry-level players.
