LeRoy Blake

A senior community coach with 18 years of coaching experience at the community club and High school level. Leroy has an impressive consistent track record of developing young players.

Attained his OSA Pre-B Certificate in 2004 and served as assistant coach with the EODSA District squad and OSA Regional squads in 2003 and 2004. Led the South Nepean United Sky Bears to the Ontario Youth Soccer League cup finals in 2003.

His playing career included time with Toronto Italia of the National Soccer League winning an U23 Championship in 1983. With Dartmouth United he was an Atlantic Cup Senior Championship finalist and Men's Challenge Cup finalist.

Leroy is a strong believer in coaching fundamentals, stressing individual technical strength then followed by team fundamentals. At the younger ages all players should be encouraged to develop skills to play every position.
