Klaus Linnenbruegger

A native of Bielefeld Germany Klaus played youth and senior soccer for VFB03 Bielefeld. (German 3. Division). Arriving in Ottawa in 1971, Klaus was a member of the Ottawa Cenntenials Soccer Club participating in the OCSL for two years. During this time he was also a member of the Ontario Men's team.
From 1972-1976 Klaus was a member of the Ottawa St. Anthony team participating in the Quebec Nat. League, and in 1976-1987 he was a member of the Maple Leaf (1979 Ont. Champ. 1980 second in Canadian Champ).
Linnenbruegger joined the Fury in 2004 as head coach of the U15 Boys and has spent seven successful seasons as a head coach in the Youth Program that saw him lead the Fury U14 Boys to the Super Y-League North American Championship Semi-Finals in 2009. He was also the PDL Assistant Coach in 2006 under then head coach Colin McCurdy. Prior to joining the Fury Linnenbruegger was the head coach of the CPSL's Ottawa Wizards from 2002-2003. The Wizards captured three straight CPSL Regular Season Championships from 2001-2003 and captured the Rogers Cup in 2002. Klaus' strong coaching background has also seen him coach for the Almonte Soccer Club, Maple Leaf Almrausch and in 1995 the Ottawa Royals.
